It is accepted by the person hiring the product [hirer] that seven days notice is required from time of order to make a confirmed delivery. We will of course try and deliver in less time if required, we even offer same day deliveries at added cost
Period of hire commences from time of delivery or attempted delivery and time of collection. The hirer accepts that should there be no person available to receive or hand over the goods resulting in a further delivery or collection being required, the hirer accepts a further charge is payable of the same value as that made originally. Where such delay caused by the hirer means that the product hired has entered a further hire period, then that costs will also be charged
Calling in for cancellation of the hire will take 2 working days following notification that the goods are no longer required. Calling on the day that a payment falls due will not end the hire on that day
Fully comprehensive insurance
Please note: upholstery damage and/or small scratches will be chargeable as these are not covered on the insurance. This also applies if you have paid for a collision damage waiver, as this only applies to a successful insurance claim.
SMS Mobility Hire Ltd provide fully comprehensive insurance on their POWERED hire products, included in the hire price, subject to a £150 excess charge and will be returned within 14 days of the safe return of the goods hired, less any charges for damage caused to the product. If the damage or loss exceeds this sum and is not settled by a valid insurance claim then the balance will also be payable.
PLEASE NOTE: If a claim is made to the insurance company which they refuse to meet, then you will still be responsible for the costs of any damage.
GET YOU HOME ASSISTANCE: Please note, in the event of an accident or breakdown, home cover is included as part of your insurance. This cover will reimburse you for legitimate and reasonable costs for the recovery of you and your vehicle back to your residence or original delivery address up to a maximum of 20 miles.

Small scratches will be repaired in house and subject to cost price for repair to a maximum of £20 total cost. Where damage exceeds this level then it will be subject to an insurance claim, and where this is successful then the maximum you could be liable for would be the excess. Please remember upholstery is not recoverable from insurance and so would be chargeable.
Where goods are returned with an unacceptable level of dirt then a charge of £25 will be levied to clean the goods.
Fair and reasonable cleaning is expected, but this should be considered as no more than a simple light clean and not heavy caked on dirt.
